Gallery 209 is a defined space within the Atelier of Painting II of FaVU VUT Brno, Údolní 53.
In regular bi-weekly operation, it provides space for faculty students and guests from other art schools or established artists of the young and middle generation.
The Gallery is a free platform open to research and experiments in the arts. It contributes to the expansion of mutual communication between faculty studios and other schools. The inspiration for its creation was Gallery 207, VŠUP in Prague.
The exhibitions are accompanied by lectures or discussions intended for students of the whole school and the public.
The curatorial team consists of teachers and students of FaVU.
