The G18 Gallery in Zlín is a cultural platform of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. It focuses on current trends shaping design and art – especially in the Czech and European spheres.
Our exhibition concept, which consists of annual thematic cycles, aims to introduce, discuss and describe the current forms and themes moving current contemporary design and art and bring them closer to students and to all the public.
The exhibitions are complemented by discussions, lectures, workshops and animations, so the G18 Gallery is able to cover the topics beyond the possibilities of the exhibition and to mediate it not only to TBU students but also to the general public.
The exhibition area of the gallery is located in the new building U18 on the ground floor of the tower B, and the whole building is designed by the architect Eva Jiřičná. The G18 Exhibition Area is 215 m², ready for unusual artistic experiences.
